The EP150 is a next-generation integrated three-in-one electric drive system designed for mid-to-high-end electric vehicles, including passenger cars, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles. It achieves high integration by combining the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), inverter, and planetary gear reducer into a single compact module—reducing weight, volume, and wiring complexity while improving thermal management and system efficiency.
At its core lies a high-efficiency PMSM with 6-layer flat-wire winding technology, which increases copper fill rate and reduces resistance losses, resulting in higher power density and improved cooling performance. The motor delivers 150kW peak power and 285Nm peak torque, with a rated output of 70kW and 120Nm. The high-ratio planetary gearbox provides a reduction ratio of 10.907, enabling significant torque multiplication at the wheel end—up to 3000Nm—for strong acceleration and hill-climbing capability.
The system operates within a wide voltage range of 240–450V DC, ensuring compatibility with various battery systems. The inverter uses advanced control algorithms such as field-oriented control (FOC) and vector control, enabling precise torque regulation, smooth low-speed operation, and reduced cogging effects.
