The EP220 is a next-generation high-power three-in-one electric drive system designed for high-performance electric vehicles, including premium sedans, performance SUVs, and light commercial vehicles. It achieves high integration by combining the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), inverter, and planetary gear reducer into a single compact module—reducing weight, volume, and wiring complexity while improving thermal management and system efficiency.
At its core lies a high-efficiency PMSM with 8-layer flat-wire winding technology, which increases copper fill rate and reduces resistance losses, resulting in higher power density and improved cooling performance. The motor delivers 220kW peak power and 420Nm peak torque, with a rated output of 80kW and 175Nm. The high-ratio planetary gearbox provides a reduction ratio of 12.01, enabling significant torque multiplication at the wheel end—up to 4800Nm—for exceptional acceleration and hill-climbing capability.
The system operates within a wide voltage range of 420–850V DC, ensuring compatibility with high-voltage battery systems used in long-range EVs. The inverter uses advanced control algorithms such as field-oriented control (FOC) and vector control, enabling precise torque regulation, smooth low-speed operation, and reduced cogging effects. The oil-cooling system ensures stable performance under continuous high-load operation, with optimized
flow channels that dissipate heat efficiently even during prolonged high-speed driving or repeated hard accelerations.
Engineered for reliability: operates reliably from -40°C to +125°C, withstanding vibrations up to 5g RMS and shock loads of 50G. The IP67-rated housing protects against dust ingress and temporary immersion in water, making it suitable for use in wet or dusty environments. The ASIL D functional safety rating ensures compliance with ISO 26262 standards for automotive applications, providing robust fault detection and response mechanisms for critical driving scenarios. The EMC Class 3 certification guarantees electromagnetic compatibility with other vehicle systems, minimizing interference.
Manufactured under IATF 16949 with ISO 26262 ASIL-D functional safety compliance. All units undergo 1,000-hour accelerated life testing, thermal cycling validation, and full-load endurance tests. Supports white-label customization with rapid NPI cycles (14 days) and regional compliance packages (EU Type Approval, China CCC, U.S. DOT).
