The 1400A Third-Generation Motor Controller is a high-performance inverter engineered for the most demanding heavy-duty electric vehicles, including electric trucks, mining haulers, construction machinery, and off-road transporters. It features SiC MOSFET-based power electronics, enabling ultra-fast switching speeds and minimal conduction losses, which contribute to its >97% efficiency across the operating range. The controller delivers 250kW continuous power and 350kW peak power for short bursts, making it ideal for applications requiring rapid acceleration or steep-grade climbing under full load.
With a rated current of 300A RMS and peak current of 700A RMS, this unit can handle extreme electrical loads without thermal throttling. The input voltage range of 250–750V DC ensures compatibility with various battery systems, from medium-voltage EVs to high-voltage heavy-duty platforms. The water-cooling system maintains stable performance under prolonged high-load operation, with optimized flow channels that dissipate heat efficiently even during continuous hill climbs or urban stop-and-go cycles.
Designed for harsh environments: operates reliably from -40°C to +125°C, withstanding vibrations up to 5g RMS and shock loads of 50G. The IP68-rated housing provides complete protection against dust ingress and permanent immersion in water, making it suitable for use in wet, dusty, or muddy conditions typical of construction sites, mines, and off-road terrains. The control supply voltage ranges from 9V to 32V, with compatibility for both 12V and 24V auxiliary systems, ensuring seamless integration into existing vehicle architectures.
The controller supports advanced control algorithms such as field-oriented control (FOC) and vector control, enabling precise torque regulation, smooth low-speed operation, and reduced cogging effects. It also includes built-in diagnostic functions, real-time monitoring of temperature, current, and voltage, and fault protection mechanisms to prevent damage from overcurrent, overvoltage, or overheating. All units undergo 1,000-hour accelerated life testing, thermal cycling validation, and full-load endurance tests under real-world conditions.
